Welcome to our blog

Even though I am starting 4 years into the process, I am going to document my experience with raising a family. After finding out that you can print your blog into a book, I decided this would be one of the best gifts I could give to my children and to myself. The moments are precious but life is moving at such a fast pace that I just don't have time to appreciate it all. I want my kiddos to know how much they are loved even when life is crazy...Enjoy.

Indian food, adoption, and defending chickens...

Last night's dinner conversation was sooo interesting that I finally had to start doing short hand notes. What started as an innocent comment turned into a heated debate where I was wondering if my boys were going to become vegetarian.  (Having been vegetarian/vegan for 8 years I totally understand their passion).

Keith said, "I like eating indian food with my boys and girl (referring to me)".  Hudson looked up and cocked his head to one side, "Well if you like eating indian food with a girl then you need to adopt one.  I can share my bed with her and she can be my little sister. Let's adopt an indian girl so she'll like indian food."

Apparently this got Eli considering the chicken shahi korma he was ingesting and he chimed in with, "Why do you kill chickens?".

Keith says, "To eat them."

"But I like chickens and I like roosters. You not know that! You know what, I like mommy, daddy, huddy and chickens".

Keith's fatal response," But we are going to get chickens so that we can eat them."

"Daddy if we eat those chickens I'm gonna hit you in the wace (face)!"

Hudson getting absorbed in chicken defense said, "Yeah if you eat one chicken the others will peck you!"

Eli pointing his finger at Keith, "Daddy why did you kill a chicken?"

Keith raising his hands in defense,"I didn't. Somebody else did."

Hudson concludes, " Eli, Indians kill meat!"
